Lions Cook Trailer

Where There is a Need, There is a Lion.

Truckee Host Lions Club donate grocery gift cards to Caldor Fire evacuees.

Amy Cechin, a South Lake Tahoe evacuee from the Caldor Fire, holds an envelope with a grocery gift card given to her by the Truckee Lions. The club gave $1,000 in grocery gift cards to South Lake Tahoe Caldor Fire evacuees before they returned back home after staying at the Red Cross Shelter at the Truckee Veterans Hall. From left to right, Red Cross volunteers Jeff Jacobs, Lynelle Andersen, Amy Cechin, gift card recipient, and Kathy Freeman, secretary.

Cook Trailer

Lion Don Purdy built our cook trailer in his driveway.  We use it for a variety of events, but it also is built for community use and is ready in the event of an emergency. “We serve whatever the need.”
